Furnace Park is 3-year long collaborative project to transform disused urban wildscape in Shalesmoor, Sheffield into an outdoor space for production, cross-disciplinary performances, exhibitions, collaborative projects and dialogues…
The opening of the Furnace Park site is on its way. To prepare for this and not wasting any warm days that could be spend outside, we are running a series of public workshops and events to develop the infrastructure for the site, together, this summer, so the end product becomes real special.
Workshops will cover various topics, from design of street furniture to actual construction work on site. The first workshop will be easy:
Event No 1 – SIGNAGE
We'll look at the ways to give Furnace Park site visual identity and street presence, considering site and project’s context, available resources and issues with changeability and maintenance. You don’t need any prior experience or tools. Just come along if you are interested in design / architecture / urbanism or just love Sheffield to make Furnace Park reality.
