SUAS Alumni Lecture Series

Sheffield University Architecture Society holds regular evening lectures at 6pm on Thursday nights in the Well, the Arts Tower.

Richard Holland
23 October
Richard is an architect with experience in a wide variety of architectural and masterplanning projects. He established Holland Harvey Architects with Jonathan Harvey in 2012 to work on innovative residential, retail and hotel projects across London.
Anne Minors
30 October
After qualifying as an architect, Anne worked as a project and site architect between 1979 and 1984 for a Hospital project and Hong Kong Marine buildings. A passion for Theatre and performance led her into Theatre Consultancy and she founded AMPC in 1996.
William Matthews

William worked for Renzo Piano Building Workshop in Paris for 19 years. Having worked as project architect on the Shard, he has recently set up his own practice, William Matthews Associates.
Spencer Guy

Spencer co-founded Levitate with Tim Sloan 2005 and he takes an active role in every Levitate project from his work base in London. Over 10 years Levitate has built a talented team with considerable expertise in the delivery of all scales of project including all aspects of works to Listed Buildings.

Meredith Bowles

Meredith Bowles trained as an architect at Sheffield University, The Royal College of Art and the Architectural Association in London. After working as an architect in New York, Taiwan and London, Meredith established Mole Architects in 1997.
Maddie Kessler
4 December
Maddie was awarded her Diploma from The Architectural Association, having previously gained a Masters in Structural Engineering and Architecture at Sheffield University. She has worked at Architecture and Engineering practices in London, Basel and Beijing and taught on the AA Summer School.
Jane Rendell
11 December
An architectural designer and historian, art critic and writer, Jane's work has explored various interdisciplinary intersections: feminist theory and architectural history, fine art and architectural design, autobiographical writing and criticism.
