Launching of the wonderful Stagehands; the new mobile theatre system for Sheffield.
Studio Polpo are hosting a party to celebrate the completion of the Stagehands project and launch the final mobile stage set. The Stagehands set will be used for music and performances on the night and made available to theatre groups and performers to borrow, test and use in the future.
About Stagehands:
Stagehands was an ambitious collective project to design and construct a mobile performance space for the Sheffield. The project provided opportunities to design and digitally fabricate a new theatre set through a series of workshops and construction days. It was led by Studio Polpo, a social enterprise architecture practice, in collaboration with ChopShop, a community fabrication facility.
