Tuesday 12th April 2016
[A] 1:00 - 2:00pm & [B] 3:00pm - 4:00pm.

1 Hour tour of Sheffield Moore Street Substation conducted by National Grid and Jefferson Sheard Architects ** Message from National grid - The building is a live operational high voltage substation, visitors attend at their own risk. Tours subject to last minute changes due to the nature of the building.

Completed in 1968 the Grade II listed brutalist electricity substation.
“Described as a 'citadel' at the time of its construction|| this substation is highly unusual for its date as due to its prominent urban position in a post-war redevelopment area the transformers and switchgear are enclosed within an architect designed building, rather than being located in an open-air site surrounded by security fencing” -https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1415383
